Four Utah Children Abducted Found in Croatian Orphanage
The Alleged Abduction Happened Due to a “Delusional End Times” Belief
Four Utah Children Abducted Found in Croatian Orphanage
The four Utah children that were abducted by their mother as she took them on a “Doomsday” excursion to Croatia have been located in a state-run orphanage while the Mother was arrested in Dubrovnik, about 400 miles from the capital of Zagreb. Croatia Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this to DNVENIK. According to ex-husband Kendall Seymour, he has identified all four children in the orphanage. Three out of the four are his children.
Another local outlet, 24 Sata, stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrested a U.S. citizen in connection with child abduction but did not state the name of the person.
The U.S. Department of State told People Magazine that they were aware of the reports, but declined to comment further citing privacy concerns.
Elleshia Anne Seymour, 35, was already facing charges in Utah when she conceived of this “Doomsday Prep” excursion. Now more charges will be added to her list of charges she was already facing. She left for Croatia on November, 29, 2025.
On Sunday, Kendall Seymour updated GoFundMe followers that the children were “trapped” in the state-run orphanage in Croatia.
The alleged abduction came to light on December 2nd, 2025 when police did a welfare check and found Elleshia’s home empty and unlocked. Elleshia had concerns of a “Biblical event” according to a former boyfriend. She has shared custody with both fathers of the boys.
Her ex-husband Kendall Seymour states that he didn’t know of her “end times” beliefs until after all this happened, according to People Magazine. Kendall Seymour said she left a note describing that they would be in Italy by Christmas and that she had a “delusional” message from God to go there. It included a check list of thing to do such as get a pre-paid phone, shred paperwork, and other items.
At this moment it is not immediately clear whether the children have been removed from the orphanage. The Croatian Institute for Social Work has called for a thorough review of the case, according to 24 Sata.
“Given the international element of the case, it is essential that the competent authorities of the United States of America conduct a review of all relevant facts and circumstances before making a decision to hand over the children to the father,” the institute stated in a release.
In Utah, Elleshia is facing 4 counts of custodial interference. The case started in West Jordan, Utah but has been transferred to the FBI in light of the international alleged abduction.
Kendall is seeking further donations in his GoFundMe to travel to Croatia and see his children.
