Family Desperate for Answers as Oklahoma Man Remains Missing for Two Weeks
The family of 29-year-old David Eakers is pleading for answers after he mysteriously vanished nearly two weeks ago.
Eakers was last seen on January 25 when he left to go to the store, still dressed in his pajamas. His light gray Chevy Colorado was later found abandoned miles away in Del City, Oklahoma, with his wallet inside and visible damage to the vehicle. His family has not seen or heard from him since.
"We just want answers," said his older brother, Devrick Gray. "We miss you and want you to come home."
Gray recalls that Eakers was simply making a quick trip for cigarettes and planned to return home as usual. But this time, he never did.
Unanswered Questions Surround Eakers' Disappearance
The discovery of Eakers' truck has only deepened the mystery.
"We don’t even know if he was the one that wrecked his truck," Gray added, emphasizing the unsettling circumstances.
Eakers’ stepfather, Brian Palczynsky, describes him as a quiet, independent man with a military background.
"He just kind of does his own thing. He got out [of the military] on good terms. Was doing really good," Palczynsky said.
Despite his independent nature, Eakers always kept in touch with his mother, making his silence even more alarming.
"I just want him to come home and tell him to call his mom. She’s worried sick," Palczynsky said.
The family fears that as days turn into weeks, time may be working against them.
